1, In general, there is no accompanying service for in-patient from
Hospital, usually in-patient accompanying could be arranged by hospital,
but cost extra by patient. And in some top-level hospital, with a'port
pick-up and more other service (see below).
2, In general, no problem for communication in English with nurse and
doctor in hospital.
3, Some hospitals with treatment service speical for foreigners, or VIP
service or English wards, if so
cost little more but more convenient.
4, In some cities have hospitals, clinics and dentists established for foreigners,
and many of them are a part of local hospitals. Some can offer a full range of medical services such as operations, check-ups and in-patient facilities while other smaller clinics may simply be able to diagnose the symptoms of minor ailments.
5, If you are outpatient, then doctor may give you a prescription for
you to buy medicine in a drugstore. Go to a drugstore, show the chemist
the prescription and you'll be given what you need. If you are
inpatient, then all arranged by hospital staff. |

6, The China medical system comprises mostly of public and private hospitals. Small and personalized clinics are still uncommon.
Most hospitals in China practice the Western medical treatment system while a good percentage practices Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Increasingly
many hospitals practice in a mixture of Western and Chinese medicine.
7, Local hospitals are still pretty poor in the area of personal privacy and so do not be surprised if you share a consulting room with more than one patient.
