Travel Tips for North Korea Tour and Visiting in DPRK Pyongyang Panmunjom DMZ Kaesong Mt.Myohyang


1, Travel in North Korea is very restricted.
2, All tour itinerary must be scheduled in advance ( for visitors, whether on business or as tourists), you must  accompanied by local north korean guide. You will only be allowed to go where the guide's plan covered. And In Pyongyang maybe you can have a little free time for self walking around, to make short walks unaccompanied.
3, Importation of shortwave radios and communications devices such as cellular telephones and computers, is prohibited. Such items are confiscated upon entry and returned upon departure.
4, Cameras, Digital Cameras, Digital Audio Equipment and Video Cameras are allowed for tourists. In general the size limit of a camera lens is 75mm. But sometime, Video cameras are prohibited.
5, North Korean authorities may seize documents, literature, audio and video tapes, compact discs, and letters which they deem to be religious, pornographic, or political in nature or intended for religious proselytizing.
6, Persons seeking to enter North Korea with religious materials in a quantity deemed to be greater than that needed for personal use can be fined, or expelled.
7, North Korea is considered one of the safest tourist destinations in the world.
8, The Mass Games or 'Arirang' is one of the greatest spectacles in the world. There is a cast of more than 100,000 people including dancers, martial arts experts, a military tattoo acrobats and most awe inspiring of all the backdrop; an awe inspiring constantly changing human mosaic that displays panoramas, political slogans and cartoons. The Mass Games usually takes place from early August until the end of September (even to Oct).
9, Till now, American tourists are required to fly into the country from Beijing or Shenyang in China.
10, Currency,  Chinese Yuan (RMB), USD, and Japanese Yuan can be used in most cases.
11,  Postal/phone services Postal services are available at the hotel. IDD phone and fax is available though monitored. It is possible to send e-mails in the DPRK from the hotel server but you cannot check hotmail, or use the internet etc.
12, Electricity Supply: 220 volts, two round or flat pin plugs. Television is PAL.
