Fenghuang (Chinese for phoenix), a small and old city, situated at the east end of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, borders northern Guizhou province and eastern Chongqing Municipality, surrounded by mountains and girdled by the Tuojiang River, famous for its beautiful landscape, unique culture with Miao & Tujia People's custom, and the birthplace of serveral celebrated Chinese personages such as Shen Congwen etc. Here mainly living Miao and Tujia people.
