The fort-style houses and slide ropes are records of the wisdom and superb skills of the Qiang ethnic people. There is Paoma hill in the suburbs of the Kangding county town. Paoma is called Lhamo in Tibetan, meaning a fairy-maiden hill. The "Kangding Love Song" has been popular among the Chinese people.
