Zangmaji or Baimaji (in Chinese), the White-Fared Pheasant (
Crossoptilon crossoptilon, or Tibetan eared pheasant by some
ornithologists) is categorized as rare birds class 2 in China. In China,
some birders consider that Tibetan Eared Pheasant includes 2 subspecies
as White-eared pheasant and Blue-eared pheasant; but most of birders do
not agree it. This birds range from southeastern Tibet (Changdom,
Zuogong, Chayu) and Western Sichuan (Zhujie Monastery, Sangdui townshi, Daocheng, Xiaojing, Siguangnianshan,
Aba. Zhujie Monastery locates the central Hengduanshan ranges at
altitude of 3820-3900M) and Northwesten Yunnan. You can see this birds (ensure): 1, Zhujie monastery (temple), Sangdui
Village, Daocheng County in Ganzi, Sichuan, the monks feeds them in time
daily, and the birds will down to the monastery in time. 2, Woye
village, Bajiao town, Xiaojin County, Sichuan, there one person Meiquanfu
breeds about 200 pheasants. |
