Brown Eared Pheasant (Crossoptilon Mantchuricum)  

Huanglongshan Brown Eared Pheasant (Hemaji in Chinese) Protect Reserve, established in 2003, locates at Hancheng -- the connection area of Huanglong, Yichuan and Weinan, from 110º00'-- 110º25'E, and from 35º26'--35º54'N, covers an area of 120877 Hactares, alt about from 620M to 1783M,  forests covers 70%. There are Nature Administration, Research & Study Center, and Breeding & Hospital Center. You can watch them at Leisizhuang Linchang (Sanjiayi Valley, Nianzi Qukou), Tugou Valley, Zhenggou Valley.

The large number of this birds 1st have been founded in 1988, and in Oct that year, birders and researchers from England, Newzeland etc bird expert to investigate this species in Huanglongshan area, about thousands of birds there.  From Xián you can take train to Hancheng, as we as car drive 4.5-5 hours
 

These  reserves to protect Brown Eared Pheasants such as: Guandishan-Pangquangou reserve, established in 1980,  locate at northernwest, Shaanxi;  Luyashan Nature Reserve, close to Guandishan reserve, estblished in 1988; Xiao Wutaishan (Small Wutaishan) Reserve, locate at Wei county, Hebei, established in 1983; Tianlong Shan Nature Reserve; Beijing Donglingshan; The larges and newest established, Huanglongshan Nature Reserve which special to protect this species.
