Changbaishan Changbai Mountain Biosphere (Natural) Reserve is located in the north-east of China at the border to Korea, 41°15'to 42°35'N; 127°15' to 129°00'E, covering an area of over
196,465 hectares. It has a wholesome natural environment and ecosystem with world famous precious animals like Northeast Tigers, sikas, sables etc. It's China's typical comprehensive nature existence of world importance.
The altitude vary from 720 to 2,691 meters above sea level,
vegetation changes with covering deciduous forest, mixed
coniferous-broadleaf forest with Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis),
coniferous forest, dwarf-birch forest and alpine tundra. The
plant species comprise European, Siberian and central Chinese
species, and include 2424 species of plants, 2277 species of
wild plants, 1300 species of M-vascular plants, 875 of herbal
plants. The biosphere reserve also provides habitat for the
North East Asian tiger (Panthera tigris longipilis), the largest
tiger subspecies in the world, with its 1225 species of wild
animials, 277 species of birds.
Ecosystme type: temperate and sub-polar broad-leaf forests or woodlands; mixed mountain and highland systems.
Major habitats & land cover types: Mixed coniferous and
broadleaved forest with Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis),
Manchurian ash (Fraxinus mandshurica), Phellodendron amurense,
Larix olgensis etc.; coniferous forest; Erman抯 birch (Betula
ermanii) elfin woodlands; subalpine evergreen ericaceous shrub
with Vaccinium uliginosum and Lycopodium alpinum; alpine tundra;
hot springs with Ophioglossum vulgatum; agroecosystems;
residential areas.
Changbaishan Tianchi volcano, as a huge Strato-volcano, erupting
rhyolite pumice in 1668 and 1702, following the huge explosion
1000 years ago.

Day01, Arrive Yandaobaihe township in Yanji, overnight in Baihe
township.(L/D)
Day02, Drive to enter the vast Changbaishan Biosphere Nature Reserve,
take park bus and hike up to the lower North Slope of Changbaishan. We begin to enjoy the mountain flora, hiking gently through dense woods to visit waterfalls,
prings, pools, underground forests overnight in local hotel.(B/L/D)
Day03, Drvie and hike up to visit Tianchi (Heavenly Lake), the
volcano lake with many lakes in Changbaishan Biosphere Park, and Tianchi
lake is 4,400 meters long, 3,370 meters wide and more than 370 meters
deep, also visit surround plants and animals' habitat, ovrnight in local

Day04, Drive to and hip to visit the wildlife kingdom, un-cultivated
south slope, Yalujiang Yalu River Grand Canyon, which lies the border
Korea, overnight in local hotel.(B/L/D)
Day05, Driver and hike up to the West Slope, visit the Alpine Garden
(better in July, there are about 9 gardens with its own plants and
flowers), Jinjiang Canyon etc, overnight in local hotel.(B/L/D)
Day06, Full day visit the Changbaishan Museum, and interview with the
local expert, overnight in local hotel.(B/L/D)
Day07, See you off at Yanji.
Quotation (In EUR, per person, 7days, basis of
2persons share one standard room or tent): 2050EUR/p.p.,
single supplement: 200EUR.
