Mt.Gongga Gonggar
Minya Konka stands on the borders of
Kangding, Luding and Jiulong counties 7556m
above sea Level. It
is the highest mountain in Sichuan and the 11th
highest mountain in the world, the third highest peak
outside of the Himalaya area. 29°35′45″N, 101°52′45″E. So, Mt. Gongga is a holy
mountain with ice prays. Around the Summit, and in area of
292 square kilometers, there are 145 Surrounding ice peaks
whose altitudes are above 5,000 meters and 110
glaciers of various sizes. The top of Gongga is hidden in
cloud almost all year around as if it were wearing a mysterious
veil. Mt. Gongga possesses virgin forests, snow clod
mountains. Grassland, lakes, hot springs, waterfalls etc. and
is wors hipped by the locals as the supreme holy mountain

Circaeaster agrestis, Eucommia ulmoides, Kingdonia uniflora, Nouelia insignis, Picea aurantiaca, Picea brachytyla, Picea montigena.

Day02, Chengdu-Kangding-Xinduqiao by car, overnight in local

Day03, Xindouqiao-Shade--Linchang, overnight in tent.(B/L/D)
Day04-Day05, Expedition in Lianhuahai Lake (Lianhua, Hehuahai Forest
Park) for the spring, glacier, plants, alpine plants, and animal,
overnight in tent.(B/L/D)
Day06, Trekking down and take car to Liuba, then take local motor up 80 km to Shangmuju, then 20km to Zimei
Pass for night.(B/l/D)
Day07, Hiking about 3 hours 15km to Upper Zimei Village, then another 2
hours hiking 10km to Gongga Monastery, overnight in Monastery.(B/L/D)
Day08-09, Full day trkking to Glacier and view the Minya Konka (the Summit
of Gongga), alpine plants and life, single way about 15KM and trekking about 4-5 hours,
overnight in Monastery.(B/L/D)
Day10, Trekking down to Zimei village and then to Bawang Lake for
lake life, overnight in local village.(B/L/D)
Day11-12, Trekking down to the road for local car along Tianwanhe river
down to Caoke village for night.(B/l/D)
Day13, Take car back to Chengdu,
overnight in Binjiang hotel.(B/L/D)
Day14, See you off at a'port after b'fast.
