Wulipo Nature Reserve, about 165KM from Wushan country, located at 109°47′-110°10′E, 31°15-31°29′N,
covers an area of 35276.6Ha, altitude 1000-2680 (Taiping Peak) meters, established as a nature reserve in 2000.
There are hills, river, valley, mountains, wetland etc.Located in the north-eastern part of Wushan County in Chongqing, it is linked to Shennongjia
Nature Reserve in Hubei Province in the north-east. The main vegetationtypes are broadleaf evergreen forest, mixed broadleaf evergreen and deciduous forest andconiferous forest.
Theratened species are: Syrmaticus reevesii (VU). Biomes, AS08: Sino-Himalayan subtropical forest.
State protected species include Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Asiatic Black Bear, Goral, Cercopithecus kandti
(Golden Monkey), M.berezovskii,
pheasants etc. The 1st - geade protected trees such as yew, Taxus chinensis, Dove
etc.
Survey in 2005 showed that, the wildlife species in Wulipo is much more
than Shennongjia Nature reserve. In Wulipo Nature Reserve, more than 500
species of wild animals, more than 2800 species of wild plants,
294 species of birds. State 1st grade protected animals 8 species,
2nd protected animals 47 species. About 7300 square hectares of virgin forest, 1,300 square hectares of native sub-alpine wet meadow
, dozens of square hectares of yew trees and katsura trees ,plant communities,
rare herbal plants.
As the enviroment being protected well, the wild boar, snakes, black
bears are frequently going into local family, appears in local village; Black bears, monkeys, wild boar,
all of them go to the grain land for pick-up (steal) the corns, and dig
out sweet potatos.
It is happend usually that, wild snake bites legs, wild boar attack
local villagers, wild black bites peasants.
And in 2009, local goverment decided that 2181 local persons (total 2308
villagers) immigrated out of this area.
In this trip, you can watch the wildlife, have chance to photograph the
animals such as wild black bears, wild golden monkey, wild boars, birds,
snakes etc. As well as to understand the effects of Three Gorges Project
Dam TGP.

Day01, Arrive Beijing, then take later afternoon or evening
flight (usually one flight daily) to Wanzhou, pick you up and
transfer to overnight in 3* Taibai hotel. (today no service in
Beijing)
Day02, Pick you up and transfer to Wanzhou Port for hydro-boat
to Wushan, riding boat about 4-5 hours then arrive Wushan for
night in 2* Wuxia hotel.(B/L/D)
Day03, Drive northward full day, and in the late afternoon
arrive Miaotang township (which now is Wulipo Nature Resserve,
and maybe it take two days to reach Wulipo Nature Reserve if
raining or road bad), overnight in the hostel (very
simple).(B/L/D)
Day04-Day8, Drive and hike up to watch wild animals, photograph
wildlife, herbal plants etc, in or around WenmiaoCun,
Miaotangcun, Huangjincun, Caojiawan, Tiechangwan etc, overnight
in township hostel.(B/L/D)
Day09, Drive back to Wushan for night.(B/L/D)
Day10, Free day in Wushan, overnight in Wushan.(B)
Day11, Take earlier boat back Wanzhou, pick you up and transfer
to Wanzhou A'port for flight back to Beijing, and check in 4*
Pexin hotel for night.(B/L)
Day12, Service ends.
And this tour can be adjusted to meet your
needs. You can boat down to Yichang for visiting TGP Three
Gorges Dam.
Quotation (In RMB, per person, 12days, basis of
2persons share one standard room): 22600CNY/p.p., single
supplement: 2100CNY.
