East Mountains range, known the Alps of Tibet, Nyainqentanglha East
Mountains Range localted in the East and Southeast of Tibet, or located
in the southeastern rim of Qinghai-Tibetan
Plateau, with more than about 100 unclimbed peaks over
6000 meters, as well as lot of glaciers. And most
of them (peaks and glaciers) just into the sight of China people
in 1988, and into the sight of foreigners special the
mountaineering climber sight just in 2006.
The climate in the Nyainqentanglha East Mountains range is humid,
with much
snowfall, and develops many glaciers around, makes enchanting snow peaks and grows beautiful
conifer forests. Glaciers in Nyainqentanglha East Mountains from Jiali to Bomi
about 200KM covers about 30% of Glaciers in the range, and one of the largest
glaciers is Qiaqing with 35 km long.
The famous peaks as
Sepu Kangri (6956m), Nenang (6870m), Jajacho (or
Kajaqiao 6447m)
etc.
