Qinling Mountains is one of the most biologically rich temperate forest in the world, a gene bank in China, a natural division between northern and southern China in terms of geography and climate. The serviral peaks of Qinling Mountains more than 3000 meters in altitude which is a barrier to cold, dry air coming in from the north. And on the southern slopes are warm rains encourage luxuriant growth and therefore an amazing variety of plants and animals. The biodiversity is very rich in China, the rare species are Chinese Yew and Qinling Fir
trees tower above a fantastic array of rhododendrons and between the Ginkgos and the various different types of bamboo live the Giant Pandas.
Qinling is an important component of the ecological system, so the wildlife is the precious natural assets, the Qinling Mountains are extremely biologically diverse, is the home to a number of endangered species.  Many Qinling plants and animals are rare and endangered, including the Ginkgo, the Chinese Mountain Larch, the Miaotai Maple and the Chinese Fir, Golden Monkey, Golden Takin, Crested Ibis, Golden Eagle, and Clouded Leopard, the giant panda bears.
In Qinling mountains, more than 10 nature reserves founded, and serveral botanical gardans founded, the famous are: Foping national nature reserve is the best one in biodiversity, the largest Qinling Botanical Garden founded.
Foping national nature reserve, which at the southern slope of Qinling mountains, is the most famouse for its panda bears habitat, ever found 12 pandas in only 1 square KM in Huodiba area, also shoted the pandas fighting for match and mating.
