Guyuan  municipality, ever as a Guyuan prefecture, and another name Xihaigu, covers 6 poverty counties such as Guyuan, Haiyuan, Xijie, Longde, Pengyang and Jinyuan covers 16783 sq kms, total population of 1900000 around, total 127 towns & villages, and about 47.6% of the total population are Hui people.
In this area, annual average rain falls about 300mm, alt from 1248M to 2955M, annual average temperature 5-7°C, annual sunny hours about 2200-2700 hours.

You are welcome travel & tour to Guyuan area for developing this poverty land!! You enjoy the folklores with Muslim charters and many Mosques there, as well as ancient sites for you.

Guyuan, ever was an important town in the history as it's traffic and military roles on the east section of old Silk Road, about 50km Great Wall ever standing there since Qin Dynasty, Xumishan Buddha Grotto is famous for its design and carving skills, Guyuan Museum hold many relics.  

Sites as follow:
Drum Tower built in 1126; Shimen Pass and Shimen town (Stone Door Township) with its ancient castle covering 560000sq Ms; Jiucai Gongbei Qubba built 1863 and reconstructed in 1980, and on 25Jan, 15Aug (Chinese Calender) gothering all Muslim around; Pengyang Chengduan Mosque; Shagou Qubba (Gongbei); Kaicheng city (ruin); Great Wall; Yaowan Grotto, Chaola old city; Xumishan Grotto; Shukusi Grotto; Nanchengcun Mosque; Haiyuan Mosque; Xiaohe Mosque; Beiwujia Mosque; Guyuan Mosque; Tongxin Mosque.
