Guidelines to practice China Qigong 

 

Qigong, and also named as Qikong, Chikung or Chikong, and "Wu" (dance) in ancient China, is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. Under the guidelines of Taoism, with the regulating among "Jing", "Qi" and "Shen", match all items ("Metal", "Wood", "Water", "Fire", "Earth" ) well to your body and make "Yin" & "Yang" fit to your needs, Qigong spread well all over world.

The word Qigong is made up  of 2 Chinese words.
"Qi" is pronounced Chee is usually translated to mean the life force or something like vital-energy that flows through and connects all thins in the universe. Some person think of it as eletrical current or something like that. Another name as "Yuanqi", mean original qi, is the most basic and  important thing in your body and life. In TCM, the 4 movements of "Qi" has been described as Rise, Down, Out, In with it's own usage. 
The second word, "Gone", pronounced gung, means accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, "Qigong (Chi Kung)" means cultivating energy. It is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality.

Qigong is one of the four pillars of traditional Chinese medicine: Acupuncture, Massage, Herbal Medicinges and Qigong, and Qigong is the one that can be most easily adapted and self healed.

In general, Qigong divided as Inner Qigong (Neigong) and Outer Qigong (Waigong or External Qigong). And another division as Silent Qigong and Moving Qigong per its posture.. 

And qigong practices can be classified as martial, medical, or spiritual. Qigong has strong roots in mystical and philosophical background in China, as well as in daily life today, now more than about 100 practises qigongs in China, and mostly named followed the founder such as Yang's qigong, Chen's Qigong etc. Anyway, all categories have three things: series posture,  breathing skills, and mental focus. 

Practise Qigong, aim at regulating your metal focus, body and breathing by directing & controlling your mind to focus on, open (empty) and slow qi, in order to heal, fresh you body.
