Xiling is really a magical place. Here you find primeval forests, sheer precipices and overhanging rocks. Here you encounter varieties of flowers, rare birds and other animals. Here you also witness such alpine natural sights as rapids, waterfalls, sea of clouds, the sun rising, the forest Buddha Halo and Yinyang Boundary (a dividing line between the the dead and living, originally a contrast between darkness and light).

Xiling Mountain is in the cubic meteorological zone, allowing visitors to come during all seasons. In spring flowers blossom and alpine azalea woods bloom; in summer waterfalls show up here and there; in autumn red leaves light you eyes; and in winter lovely snow attracts visitors from thousands of mile away. Xiling is really an ideal place for entertainment, taking holidays, summer touring, and snow amusement in South China.

In spring, once entering the Xiling Mountain, you are in a colorful land. Miles of azaleas will dazzle you eye: impossible to take the beauty all in. From March to August a year, the azaleas come into bloom sequentially from low altitude to high in Mountains. They gather in clusters; some are flaming red and others snow white. Particularly, a type of azalea possesses incomparable beauty. Many color are in one bunch. Bigger trees even reach 10 meters high and over 100 centimeters in perimeter. Twisted branches spiral upward. Some are crossed, some leaning against each other and some crept by canes. No one knows how long they have spent here.

Xiling Mountain Skiing Resort

95Km away from Chengdu, it is located in national scenic resort, Xiling Snow-capped Mountain, which is famous for its scenic beauty and peasant weather. The traffic is very convenient with high class cement road connecting Chengdu. It take only 2 hours by bus from Chengdu to the resort.

Due to its geography and topography, the skiing ground is an ideal place for skiing. Being a tableland between high mountains, it covers an area of approximately 7 square kilometers. The altitude here is between 2200 and 2400 meters (ideal for skiing). The highest temperature here in summer is only 25°C and the lowest in winter is -10°C. The snow season lasts from late November to the end of March the next year. The average depth of snow coverage is more than 60 cm. Due to its sharing the same altitude as well as similar snow quality and snow season with the European Alps, Xiling is renowned as the Oriental Alps.

The skiing Resort is well-equipped. With 2000 sets of famous-brand skiing facilities, including 35 ski-doos imported from Canada and Japan, all-terrain skiing vehicles and sliding tubes imported from Europe, the skiing Resort has become the largest snow park in China.

In summer, the skiing resort becomes a large-scale grass skiing ground. The grass field covers an area of 500,000 square meters. 600 sets of imported grass skiing equipment, including grass skiing motors, on-grass cross-country motors, on-grass hover crafts and a 1600-meter-long Toboggan Run, enable the Resort to conduct 15 entertainment programs on high mountain grass fields.

It is fantastic to have a bird's-eye view of Xiling. 2 colorful sightseeing thermal balloons and 10 parachutes hovering around allow you to admire the colorful Xiling sky. The 2500-meter-long gondola cable connecting Riyueping and the Skiing Resort, enables you to enjoy the fantastic scenery in high mountains: the cloud sea, the rising sun, the scenery of Yinyang boundary, the golden mountains painted in sunshine and the Buddha Halo.

With its various amusement programs, graceful and beautiful natural scenery and excellent services, the Xiling Snow Mountain Skiing resort has become a national resort for sports, sightseeing, holiday entertainment and summer tour.

There are about 7 trails, and one of them about 2000meters long and 15meters wide with a drop of 200meters.

Day01, At about 07:30 pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu downtoen, and transfer to Xiling by private car, and then take cabel car up and also park bus to Azalea hotel, in the afternoon skiing, overnight in 3* Azaleas (Dujuan in Chinese) hotal, the best in Xiling area.
Day02---Day03, Skiing and enjoy the snow & ice in Mt.Xiling, overnight in Azaleas hotel.
Day04, Driver drive car to the foot parking area to meet you at about 15:00, (you'd keep the cable car ticket well and take cable car down mountain by yourself),  and  pick you up then back Chengdu downtown and drop off in your hotel.

22 km from Xiling is the famous Huashuiwan Hot Spring. The volume of the spring is abundant, discharging 8000 cubic meters round the clock. the hot spring contains many trace elements beneficial to human beings. The amount of iodine, bromine, boron, magnesium and sodium has reached the medical treatment standard and is suitable for therapy.
