The Tibetan marriage is very attractive as the nature
and scenery in Tibet plateau, the procedure of engagement and wedding vary
from one to another. In Kangding (Kham area, Sichuan), Khampa people here
writing a song, Kangding Qinge (song of love or loving song) now spreads
all over the world. Paomaoshan (Paomao mountain or horse race hill), a
loving mountain, 08Apr in Chinese Calendar, a mountain racing fair be hold
there, many boys and girls falls in romance.
As to 2004, there is a Largest festival on around 01Aug, and before it a
international collective wedding ceremony will be held. |

Itinerary
28Jul, Arrive Chengdu, pick you up and transfer to Minshan hotel by
private car with female English speaking guide, in the evening enjoy the
Sichuan Opera, overnight in Minshan hotel.(D)
29Jul, Drive to Kangding, and in the evening enjoy the night moon in soft
& bright light at Paoma mountainside, experience the romance with
Chinese traditional music, overnight in Paomashan (for bridegrooms) and
Kangding hotel (for brides). (B/L/D).
30Jul, Bride and bridegroom in colorful Tibetan dress with Tibetan hair
make-up in the earlier morning (a female assistance arranged for bride as
both companion and interpreter), and riding horse back in red silk with
red carpet following to the collective wedding place, in the morning
Tibetan wedding ceremony, and the wedding procedure goes on according to
the Tibetan traditional wedding custom, and wedding banquet for
lunch, in the afternoon enjoy the performance of Tibetan dance and
singing, roasted full sheep in red silk for dinner with butter tea and
white Hada, in the evening enjoy the Tibetan wedding gala night with
campfire, overnight in Paomashan hotel (for bridegrooms) and Kangding

31Jul, Visit the Princess bridge in Kangding city, and drive to Tagong
Grassland for visiting Tagong monastery with Tibetan Buddha flags, and
view the statue of Princess Wencheng for blessing & protecting your
marriage for thousands years, overnight in Paomashan hotel or Kangding
hotel.(B/L/D).
01Aug, Enjoy the China Khampa Art & Culture Festival, in the morning
ceremony of the festival, and in the afternoon enjoy the local dance and
singing, horse racing, wrestling, as well as the colorful dressing and
girl's hair decoration in golden and silver, overnight in Paomashan hotel
or Kangding hotel.(B/L/D)
02Aug, Full day enjoy the Festival, overnight in Paomashan hotel or
